I read thru the post on this subject, and had to respond to several issues.
1)Chiropractic science / body of knowledge....don't take my word for it, look in the British Journal of Medicine, New England Journal of Medicine, The Rand Corp, the US Agency for Health Care Policy and Research (AHCPR). These reputable, peer reviewed, objective sources will tell you about the effectivness of Chiropractic.
2) It doesn't work for me....NOTHING WOKRS FOR EVERYONE. Daily, I read posts about inept Neurologists and MD's, yet we continue to seek their help. (I would never tell you not to see one.) You can not base an entire profession on your response to one condition or on the basis of one practitioner. To do so is the height of stupidity (that should get some return posts!!!)If you don't get the results you expect, or hear too much "mumbo-jumbo" from ANY health provider seek a second opinion from someone in the same field before "throwing the baby out with the bath water".
Can we help with the muscular soreness and referred pain, usually, but every patient is different, Chiropractic is not a cure-all.
3) Will Chiropractic cure my cluster headaches?..I still get them after 24 years, however, my first treatment at 19 years old stopped a 8 1/2 month bout. Cure????? haven't found one yet, HAVE YOU??? Do you blame your MD or Neurologist for not finding a cure or the mis-diagnosis???

Finally, don't give up, keep looking for something that helps you cope with the pain of CH's. What works for me may not work for you, that's OK. Look at each treatment option with some common sense and objectivity, consider benefits and costs, then make a resonable decision.

Regards and best wishes to all.
