I tried a dosepak of prednisone in 1988 for 8 days. I was warned I would gain a bunch of weight and have sore joints after the treatment. It was not worth it....the day after I finished the treatment the CH came back with a vengeance and it took me almost a year to rid myself of 25 prednisone pounds. I will never take that again. That neurologist needs to go back to school.
