Prednisone in high doses was the only thing that worked for me as a preventative. Unfortunatly the side effects were so bad for me I cant(wont) take it anymore. Its been 1 month or so since i last took a strong enough dose and I am stil suffering the side effects. I walk like I am 85 and I am only 29. I had "watermelom face" and gained about 30 pounds. Even started to grow facial hair! Thank God that finally stopped.
Its really sad when the only things that work for us do so much damage.
