Deb,

I was also a supporter. I know how you feel. My husband suffered from clusters for four years -- they went from episodic to chronic.
From last October until June 27, of this year he had clusters every day -- usually two, but sometimes three a day. Each headache lasted for six hours straight.
I have two sons -- ages 12 and 10 and work full-time.
I don't want to type a whole book here, but if you want to e-mail me, please feel free.

My husband died on June 27, 1999, in a nursing home, from apparent cardiac arrest, where his doctors coerced him into going. He had several other chronic medical conditions besides clusters,
but they, in themselves, are bad enough.

Every day from October through June the only relief from his pain was Demerol shots.
I was taught to give them to him at home, and he also gave them to himself. When you
suffer from this pain, you will do anything -- including suicide in some cases -- to stop the pain.

You worry about the pain first and if there is to be any addition, you worry about that later.

Thanks for your time.

Lisa
