Hi Susan

Glad to see you're questioning questioning questioning - that's where the answers come from

Latitude is measurement North & South -
equator is 0 degrees, the poles are 180 degrees
45 degrees is 1/2 way in surface distance but the starting point of geometrically increasing change in daylight time per day thru the seasons
that's what I had in mind

in my part of USA, 45% is in central Maine, out west it's a slight distance S of the Canadian border - England, Scotland, Denmark etc are all WELL above the 45th

You're speaking of altitude "up & down" at a given point or compared to another point, usually referenced to "sea level" and THAT IS a known headache cause, in a general sense, for many people - it may or may not be a CH trigger for you, I haven't flown enough, or gone up into our local mountains enough, during CH periods to make a guess for myself

Hope you had a nice time up there on the Blue ridge - I went to college in VA, couldn't stand it frankly, but I was down in "Tidewater" a ways southeast of Richmond - LOVED the higher country in the west when I got over there though
