Hi every one,
My name is Daniel. Iam 28 years old and I am suffering from cluster headaches for about ten years. My neurologist has put me on verapamil (480 mg per day) and occassionally I use the Imitrex injection. I started with the Verapamil one year ago and I am using it every day since then. The problem is that the moment I stop using verapamil my H/As return. No I am in the eigth week of a bout that does not seem to end, and using quite a lot of imitrex (on average one injection per day). I never experienced a bout this long before. Usually my I have two bouts of four weeks, twice a year (spring and autumn). Should I try to stop with the Verapamil? Does anybody have experience with using verapamil for a longer period of time? Am I turning chronic? Do other people also feel dizzy and weak for a day when using two or more injections of Imitrex in 24 hours? Does anyone know about surgical solutions for infinite relief?
These are some of the questions I have. Thank you all for this site. Strangely enough it really makes me feel good!
