Until there is big money to be made from clusters we will continue to sufferand be ignored. Medical research is driven by bean counters. Cluster'ers are less than one half of one percent of the population. That is not enough to get the money into research. Maybe someday cluster headaches will be the Yuppie illness/disability of the year. You know, like one year you just had to have tennis elbow and another year you couldn't live if you didn't have carpal tunnel trouble. Maybe we need to work on the Yuppies. If we can get them a cluster headache we'll get the research done. I know most Yuppies are big headaches in themselves so payback is only fair.
