Ummm, I don't know whether I should say this Susan D but...based on my personal experience (3 cycles over the last 8 years), the peak of those cycles was always a multiple cluster attack much like you have described - even if they were not for me fortunately started while driving, although I've had a couple of those nightmare experiences as well.

The worst aspect of the multiple attack is that just as you are beginning to recuperate, it hits you again while your defences are down.

I hope it is not tempting fate, but if my personal experience is anything to go by the worst might be over real soon. While there were always more attacks after the peak, the gap between attacks always grew longer. I hope its the same for you.
