DJ - A question

Is it possible to do something - when someone lists a web site address or email address, can it be recognized and highlighted so that it becomes a connection link? Sort of like in Microsoft Outlook Express. When you type an address, it automatically changes color and becomes an active connection link. Know what I mean? I'm not sure what the official terminology is.
