I don't know if you remember reading about my situation with the same thing, But my former doctors nurse would call my insurance company and explain why I needed more than the standard amount of medicine and they would give her a special code for the pharmacist to use when filling it. There are ways to get around that. If your doctor will not call the insurance company, you will have to get a different doctor like I am looking to do next. Good luck.
