I'm so sorry to hear of your "super cluster attack." You must know that everyone here will help you get through this and support you.
As to your question about purging; I have only experienced this twice during these many years.
I believe this was brought on by the pain medications I was taking at the time (sorry, can't recall the name of the meds....hydro-something).
I think everyone here can relate to your feeling of constant fear. I can only say that this is the place to be when you need help in coping.
I have noticed how often cluster sufferers use the words "seems to help" when describing the effectiveness of various medications. I believe that goes to the very cyclic (sp?) nature of clusters. You can really never be sure that the intervals between cluster attacks were due to the medication, or that they would have occurred regardless of the medication.
I wish you all the best as you recover from the "shell shock" that is inevitable after suffering the torture of clusters. We're all here for you.
