I've had yearly episodes of cluster headaches since 21 years of age.Am now 43!
Always have 'em in the summer, except for maybe twice during winter months. Usually, one a day for a 6 to 8 month period....lasting from 1 hour to 6 or more. Absolutely UNBEARABLE pain....left side only, with the feeling of a knife in my left eye, and crushing pain floating between top of head, side of head, ear, jaw, neck, etc.....I started taking feverfew 2 years ago, (daily) and had NO headaches last summer, but , just started getting them this year. I truly thought it had "cured" me. I've had every diagnosis and medication known to man.Imitrex shots worked like a miracle, but then the headache would just come back later....Gave up on it rather quickly 'cause it gave me chest pain, and WAS only avoiding the inevitable. The depressing thing about the online forum, is that there is obviously NO common cure that is guaranteed to work. So, as usual, it's now back to dreading every day for several months, sure makes life worth living again when they're gone tho'!!
