I agree with Bob's comments and would like to add a footnote that i doubt that anyone has really tried 'all' the solutions to cluster pain. It certainly seems like we've tried every drug in the big drug book but there are alot of them in there..
Yes, we have been guinea pigged with many, many treatments but there are both rare and newer treatments available. Glyceryl Trinitrate patch? Naltrexon? Ritalin? Time released melatonin followed by DHEA the next morning? These are all uncommon but effective treatments reported by cluster sufferers. We tread a fine line here by seeming to give medical advice when what we mean to do is offer hope and maybe a new topic to discuss with one's doctor. Recently there was a posting in this forum that spoke highly of the Diamond Headache Clinic in Chicago. 'They don't give up on you' is one line i remember. I also have received personal email from the head of the San Francisco Headache Clinic asking for details of my shadows. There are dedicated professionals out there who have a genuine dedication to solving our pain dilemma.. Have Hope..
