Hi Anne, low odor paint just covers up the smell, not the actual fumes. I am a painter by day. If you do some more painting, you will need to get an OSHA approved respirator with carbon charcoal filters. But they are not 100 percent in filtering out certain chemicals in latex paint because of small molecular compounds. I never got a CH from latex paint, but oil paint is a definate no no.
