In your case, it may be but somehow I doubt it. I was told I had TMJ too because of my pain after CH. In fact, I was told TMJ was causing the pain to begin with. Four oral surgeons later, I do not have TMJ. They all said I didn't without knowing what the previous ones have told me. I don't know if this helps you at all but I hope it did some.
