Clusters started at age 21. Profession at the time was Shoe Salesman and playing drums in a band. Since then have worked as a Forklift Operator, Security Guard, House-husband, Supervisor at a Bank and still playing drums in a band. My current job is the Supervisor at the Bank job. When a Cluster hits I cannot lay down or put my head on my desk. I cannot remain motionless. I jump from my desk and run over anyone in my way and go to the car and sit and rock and beat my head against the steering wheel. I am lucky that I have a very understanding boss who knows I must be left alone until the attack is over. (The wife is pretty cool too)!

If/when I get hit with an attack and I'm playing the drums; I tend to beat the shit out of the drum skins. I have a tendency to speed up the song a bit too. One time, when the band was playing at a night-club, the Demon decided to pay me a visit. Instead of jumping off the stage and running somewhere to pace, rock, moan and beat my head; I decided to break into a drum solo. I used my head as one of the drums that I was busy beating the shit out of. Some people in the audience, after we came off stage, told me they thought it was cool when I used my head as a drum. I was tired. I politely whispered, "Uh-huh" … "Yeah" … "Cool".
