I am in the middle of a cycle. For the first time, I
met with my neuro at the beginning, and he prescribed
180 mg verapamil. I've been on this for about 5 weeks.
I've had about 10 h/a, all very mild and easily handled
by oxygen and ibuprophen.
Last night I woke with a much stronger one that would
not be beaten by the oxygen. I finally broke down and
took the imitrex shot, which knocked it out as always.
My question is for veteren verapamil users. Is it
common to get a "breakthrough" h/a in a cycle when all
the rest have been rather benign? Looking at the
postings here, it looks as though my dosage is not
real high compared with most. I intend to just go on
as before and hopefully I will go back to mild ones or
none again. I appreciate any info that anyone might
have on this.
