On Aug 21st, Amanda Best suggested we list insurance companies
that tend to go along with the O2/Imitrex, etc. The company where
I work has been using "United Healthcare" as our main healthcare
insurance for some time. They just changed over to a new health
insurance company "Principal Life Insurance Co" which operates a
TLC Advantacge LLC (a managed care network) However, both of these
insurance companies have their "prescription plan" under a company
called "Pharmacy Gold, Inc." and it is called Rx Gold. I have never
had any problem getting my oxygen or my Imitrex through this company.
I use the Imitrex tablets (only because I have never tried to get
the shots), and as you all know a bottle of 30 of these will run you
over $300.00 easy without insurance. Through this prescription plan
I only pay $56.00 for a bottle of 30. Personally, I find this very
comforting to know that I can at least afford to treat my CHs at that
cost.
Don't know if this will help anyone else out there, but if so, then I
am glad I posted. If anyone wants addresses, etc for any of the above,
feel free to e-mail me. I do not want to "advertise" for any particular
company, but certainly have been happy with the results I have receive
from this one.
