I got back late last night from down in Alabama. One last golf trip before my surgery on Wednesday....Don't know how long I will be out of commission, but pray not very long.
Thanks to each and every one of you that posted a response to my cry for help on Thursday....I have never felt like that before. I really thought I would pass out before I could finish a post to you guys...My great neice, Sheree', came a running when she heard my message on their answering machine that afternoon and stayed with me. She even posted a message to you about how I was feeling. I was really in trouble. Still don't know what happened. Bestwoman E-mailed me information that her doc said to only mix Amerge and Imitrex after so many hours... I had only been taking the Verapamil SR for 2 days at the time...
The new Neuro gave me Verapamil 180 mg., DHE-45 Spray, Imitrex Spray as well as the injections, and Amerge (1 tab twice a day for only 7 days - trying to break the series I was presently in)., plus the O2 of course..I was to continue with the Motion Sickness tab at bedtime, and my normal meds, Synthroid and Provacal and hormones....He didn't advise me not to take the Amerge with the Imitrex....will have to call him on that one....Although I am only going to take it for 7 days...Doc Greg, bless his heart, advised me not to mix the DHE-45 and the Imitrex. I want to try the DHE-45 Spray which I have never tried before, but if it didn't work and the Imitrex always does, then of course I would go back to the Imitrex.....But, Doc Greg advised me not to...If I go with the DHE-45 I must stay with it the remainded of the 24-hr period. Bummer....Just so much to remember, so much to ask the Neuros, don't mix this, do mix this, what out for this (the 02 without moisture caused my nose to bleed and hard to breathe due to dryness) also Dramamine or Motion Sickness pills I thought were much better to take one of these instead of 6-10 Amitrypline every night....however, I felt like it was also drying my sinus up real bad and having trouble at night breathing as well from that....Now using that, however, using a spray to moisten my sinus and putting Vicks around the end of my nose and above lip to breathe better at night....
If this isn't enough to worry about, can't put off my surgery any longer....Acted up Friday night after we got finished playing golf thank goodness, but Saturday wasn't so lucky...almost passed out twice on # 14 and finally had to quit on 17..First time ever I had to quit in the middle of the game. My friend said he thought I was going to pass out on 14, ha ha, not nearly as scared as I was...almost hit the ground...Wanted to play sooooo bad...Was really hitting the ball a mile and irons were working so well.....
My BP is staying up as well as my pulse...Friday I had to go to one of my surgeons and my BP stayed up 159/103 pulse 114....No CH Friday either....felt really good...No shadow even..Even on top of the Verapamil...BP still up, because I just can't seem to break free from this series..Hospital at pre-testing, still up.....
Anes doc said he was concerned with finding something to give me that wouldn't make me so sick...always violently ill following being put to sleep...Recovery room it begins and usually last all day....Nothing they give me afterwards stops the nausea and vomiting. He said he was going to give me some type of anes that is hallucinigenitic type that blocks the serotonian to the brain....When he said that, something clicked from our board here and I said, hey we have too much of that (CH sufferers that is) and he said right, that is why I am going to give you that. He said he only had put one other person to sleep before that had CH.....Very nice guy...He said he would make sure he was the one that got me Wednesday morning...I hope so...he was very nice and helped calm my fears somewhat....
I am to take my Verapamil SR, Synthroid, and my Prilosec with only one sup of water right before I leave for the hospital Wed a.m. (5:30 a.m. I have to be there for 8:00 surgery schedule).
I am also to take my Imitrex Injection case with me, just in case...
Some think it may break my cycle and some think it may be a new trigger....Will let you know.
