May I speak to you a moment? Before I forget,
Margi's post regarding Beta Blockers says
just about what I want to say. Simon speaks
of reason and understanding. Since you are
both in the UK I would respectfully suggest
you get in touch with him. I believe Simon
is organizing the UK sufferer's. Okay Anthony,
here goes. I don't expect you to know any of
this seeing as you are a new comer.

The vast majority of us here at this web site
have been through years and years of mis-
diagnosis and pure HELL. What I believe most
people were responding to was the message and
not the messenger. I believe as many do that Beta Blockers don't work for clusters. I to was placed on Beta Blockers during my "migraine" years. As I said to others and I will now say to you it was the most horrible drug I've ever been on. And I thought Sansert and Prednisone were the worst.

There have been many people come here and claim
things. They have also tried to sell
us stuff. I can't speak for Gary but I believe
he was suspect of you because of your persistance
regarding Beta Blockers. Not to long ago some
one was trying to sell B-12 nasal spray. Again
Anthony most of us have been through Hell, pure
and simple. I personally believe you do have
the right to speak your mind BUT threatening
people? That cross's the line.

Amanda said to you that she had tried Beta
Blockers and they didn't work. She then
posted to another poster and you threatened
her. Why? Not only did Beta Blockers NOT
WORK for me I continued to suffer needless and
misdiagnosed pain. Yes I do try to see the
good in everyone. I am not perfect and make
mistakes the same as everyone else.

If you wouldn't mind please take the time
to go through the archives. Okay, so you
say Beta Blockers cured you? Anthony, there
is no cure for cluster headaches. There are
abortives and preventatives and remission. I truly believe you are in remission or have migraines though that is just my opinion. To the best of my knowledge the ONLY approved drug available for cluster headaches is Imitrex Injection. Yes we do use many other things.

If you would like I can do some research
and site each source regarding Beta Blockers.

My assumption is that Gary and others have
already done this. We have a wonderful
Doctor here (Doc Greg) who is also a sufferer.
We do bash Doctors but he has our utmost
respect. We have a Nurse named Irene
and also have a Chiropractor named Doug.
They have both offered me assistance when
I asked as has Doc Greg.

So how about we open a dialogue? We can
agree to disagree and rather than attack
one another on the board we can e-mail
one another. I am a bit closed minded
when it comes to cluster headaches but
that doesn't mean something can't be
discussed. My e-mail is above and you
are more than welcome to contact me
I could say more but have gone on long
enough as it is. I won't post about
this again nor will I argue on the
forum about it.

Respectfully//Phil C
