Great synopsis. I get both migraines and clusters and you got the difference down pat, for the most part. I sometimes have them overlap (ouch). The clusters are definitely a 8-10 in intensity but are gone in that 1 and 1/2 hours period. My migraines are not as intense usually although they sometimes are an 8 or 9. I would put them at a 6-8 usually but they last so much longer and are quite debilitating in that way. I use Imitrex injections for the migraines and they go away in 10-15 minutes but can return. I use oxygen for the clusters but they too can return (and usually do).
