Thanks for a great post. I agree. For me, some differences

Light does bother me most of the time, only in one eye.

Sound doesn't bother me at all.

Early in the cycle, the congestion is worse, I always have eye tearing and Horners like syndrome, and later in the cycle, the nasal congestion is not so much an issue.

Rocking, pacing, and some body jerks when the stab comes. (out of surprise of intensity i guess) I cannot be still, do NOT like to lay down.

90% i get wake me from sleep. If rebound from medicaiton, then some during the day, but otherwise, during the day is not so common.

Have vomited once in over 20 yrs. This was after a night of 6 CH between 2:00 am and 7:00 am, including trip to ER, with whatever meds they injected. Could have been med reaction.

Never had one for 18 hrs straight--would have killed self. Sometimes the intense part might last for 30 minutes, sometimes for 45 min plus. But, not all are the same. I do get some prior to sleep, but the intensity is generally less and they come and go--say in the 4 to 5 range.

Don't forget to visit the "home page" (for new visitors) and read the descriptions there. I find that many people overlook that page.
