if you are actually being threatened or truly harassed via email by someone try this:

if the culprit's (bigcreep) email return address is:

bigcreep@internetserver.com

address an email note to:

postmaster@internetserver.com

politely advise the "postmaster" that one of their subscribers is using their service to send threatening or otherwise illegal and harassing material, and request them to take action to stop the activity

be sure to include a cut&paste of the actual threatening email with the header details of the email transmission that carried it

should only use this for REAL threats or repeated harassing notes to which you do not reply

I don't think there is any law (yet) that says they MUST take action, but it is a "good business" policy for them to keep the transmissions they handle within bounds, and many, many servers have regulations that they will cut off service to anyone misusing/abusing the system

use some common sense - one haranguing email letter from someone does not a serious threat make, just blow it off - but true threats or repeated harassment is worth trying this
