oxygen !!!!
absolutely
8-10 liters/minute; start at very first twinge;stay on thru attack plus 3-5 minutes (for me a TOTAL of 12-30 minutes,
use a NONrebreather valved bag mask or other method to breath ONLY the pure 02

when they're real heavy, I sit up all night reading mystery & adventure books, so I can get on the 02 immediately - - by doing this it seems I interrupt the overall cycle and the pattern slows down a bit

also, I seem to be able to sleep at least 3-4 hours if I wait until 4 or 5 AM to go to bed - that avoids the HORRIBLE 90 minutes & up with an attack underway merry-go-round, and actually provides a little rest which is VERY important

another thing - I just give up altogether on even thinking about any kind of activity schedule, much less trying to keep one - the strain and fatique of trying to "be normal" in spite of the attacks makes things worse IN MY OPINION

I believe that one of the keys is to try to keep the cluster from getting out-of-control, for me the SOBs seem to feed on themselves - -

good luck
