I tried acupuncture a few years ago. It didn't
help, but I did have amusing incident as a result.
One day, the person who usually did the acupuncture
was out, and someone else did it. After the
treatment, I went to a restaurant for lunch on Melrose St.
in Los Angeles (at the time, home of the punk
rock crowd). Later, I went home and was starting
to wash my hair, when lo and behold, I noticed
an acupuncture needle sticking straight out of my
head. I have a fear of needles. I screamed and
pulled it out. That needle had been sticking
out of my head all through lunch, and no one
ever said a word! That's L.A. for you.
