Hi Graham, I am not a doctor and anything i say is pure conjecture.
I also like to have a drink on occasion. I used to refuse to drink during my cycles because of the severity of my headaches. B U T .... I now take Imitrex ( sumatriptan) when i am gonna go out and have a drink with the mates. It does a fine job of keeping the demon at bay while i have a drink or 20, lol. At least i can enjoy the night and not worry about it coming on in the middle of my fun night. This may be an absolute bad thing to do. But life is short and i dont give a rats ass if it kills me.
