I've just had the clusters come back after a 16 year stay of execution. I was lucky to be at a military clinic picking up a prescription for my stepdaughter when the first attack came... I was seen on the spot and on my word was given a prescription for cafergot (my old medication). In four days I had a CAT-scan (negative) and a follow up where I was prescribed verapamil. I told the doc I wanted to keep the cafergot as a backup. Verapamil is a vasodialator, cafergot a vasoconstrictor. The two didn't work very well together. Anyway I have been looking at all the factors trying to figure what may have triggered the clusters. Has anyone had problems with antihistimines. I have been treating recent sinus problems with over the counter antihistimines. Appreciate any feedback. By the way, the verapamil has stopped the attacks after 2 days.
