I had nearly the same symptoms as you experience. With regard to the alcohol, i.e., red wine, beer for me. Sometimes it would sometimes it would not, more often than not though. Read my earlier post about "cure" (?????). Perhaps your "chemistry" and mine are comparable. Anyhow, I don't believe my experience with the "C" is conincidental, however I'm not prepared to get off the "C" to make a point. All I know is...No CH since.
