I am thoroughly convinced that CH's are the body's own auto-ammune system working against it.
I started having cluster headaches with my first pregnance-as a matter of fact, I didn't even know that I was pregnant yet. 6 Weeks of pain, getting steadily worse as the time went on.- sleeping sitting up in a lounge chair, afraid to lay down because one would come on after about 3 hours of sleep. Room temp. air hurts-too cold. Cover head to keep light and cold air away. Then GONE as abruptly as they started.
Next, weaning nursing baby-brought the next attack-about 6 month after the first. But now they
appear twice a year, on their own.
Next pregnancy 2-l/2 yrs. later, same story, and on and on until at the age of 49, had a hysterectomy, and guess what!!! Haven't had one since and I am now
62 years old.
Now my 28 yr old son is going through this agony. His started at age 17.
