I too was intrigued by the reference to The Hemlock Society. I did a quick web search and it would appear that there are Hemlock Societies in a lot of the States of America. The info bellow was gleaned from Healthfinder at http://www.healthfinder.gov/text/orgs/HR1955.htm

The Hemlock Society USA. http://www2.privatei.com/hemlock/index.html. Hemlock, founded in 1980, supports active, voluntary euthanasia for the terminally ill. The group works to raise public awareness of the issue, and to clarify existing laws on suicide and assisted suicide. The society is supported through donations, membership fees, and the sale of publications. Hemlock maintains a speakers bureau.

Most famous past user of this herb is Socrates, who, as far as I'm able to ascertain, did not suffer from CH. Oh, I'm interested in headaches in literature, for example Juliet's nurse and a female character in a Thomas Hardy novel (who had mutilpe types of headache) and who's name slips my mind. I'm going to see if I can compile a list a literary headache sufferers and see if any of them could be said to have had CH. Hey, a guy needs something to do with the extra grey matter!
