I take Sansert which works pretty well, but on
occasion, the beast busts through.
A year ago, after poring over this site,
I asked my neurologist for a prescription for oxygen.
He agreed but wasn't too enthusiastic - just said
it might work, might not.

It works. I have an H tank (hospital size) and
tomorrow am getting an E tank to port around in
my car and a D tank to carry for emergencies in
the backcountry. I'm a week into a cycle and have
had only the initial HA. When I feel my eye starting
to burn and my jaw tightening, I pull the mask on
and crank it to 6-8 liters/minute. Instantly, the
harsh pain backs off and in ~5 minutes I am pain
free. The drawback is having to lug a tank around
or find access to a tank if you don't have one.

It is cheap ($35/month for the H tank)and lacks
the side effects of other honkin' drugs.

For me, it is the ass kicker against the beast.
