I'm afraid I can't offer any input with regard to the Lidocaine, accupuncture or Capsiacin treatments, but I can agree with your praise of this message board. It has been a godsend to me as well. As for current treatments I'm afraid I had to simply take a vacation from that 24 year merry-go-round of trial treatments. I just couldn't do it anymore, or at least for the time being. I've suffered from what I believe are referred to subchronic clusters, and have only had one, one-year reprieve from the "monster" since 1973. Of course I've had some reprieves lasting a couple of months, but nothing ever longer than that, and the feeling that I was frustrating the doctors and dissapointing my family with failed medical treatments was more than I could bare. That coupled with some other recent health problems have forced me to take a vacation from trying so hard. But I certainly wish all the best in your quest for relief. This is one of the best resources and a great place for support.
