Hello. My head hurts just reading about your 8-hour ordeal. Hope that NEVER happens again.
I went to a therapist who was also a HYPNO-therapist on two occasions, specifically to deal with the headaches. We didn't deal with the experience of pain, however. There may be some potential benefit in that. Good luck, and let us know. One thing that was helpful to me when hypnotized, was the "suggestion" that my body knows how to start these headaches, and it also knows how to stop them. And wouldn't be nice if the mechanism that stops them would kick in at the first impulse of the mechanism that starts them. There have been many times since then that I have felt the beginnings of a headache, then nothing else. I tell myself that its a result of the hypnosis.
