Hi Eeli,
Most Chinese resturants here have discontinued the use of MSG in food prepared on site and their menus will so state. I've not had any problems if I avoid things not prepared by these resturants (egg roll, etc). And unfortunately, it's not just the junk food resturants that use MSG, it's practically all of them. Anything that is breaded (one of the Colonel's secret ingrediants), lettuce and other veggies at the salad bar (keeps them fresh looking) and sauces are likely to contain MSG. Additionally, many snack foods (chips, most things with cheese) list MSG on the pkg.

While most people are not MSG sensitive (70% of the adult population), I strongly reccemmend that any clusterhead try avoiding it (damned near impossible) for a couple of weeks just to rule it out. Read the labels and look for "natural flavoring" and "hydrogenated vegetable protien" also. These can be as much as 50% MSG.

I can usually eat anything when out of a cycle but when I travel and am completely dependent on restuarants for food, I'll start a new cycle, guarenteed!

Support OUCH, zeroes for all.
Kip
