Glad to hear that verapamil has worked so well for you. I started on 240 5 years ago and had to increase to 360 then 480 and during my last attack 600, plus 80 mg of prednizone would not stop the attack. Now I've "graduated" to 360 of verapamil plus 300 of lithium. Point being, it all depends upon whether the disorder is increasing in severity or decreasing. Obviously, at this point I'm going the wrong way. For those of you interested in verapamil you must realize that it doesn't work overnight and must be considered a long term blocking drug that may take up to two weeks to begin working. It is not designed as a short term abortive. Best wishes for continued pain free days and nights. Greg
