I'm an experienced patient, not a doctor, but here's a recommendation: try the flow rate of 7, already "high flow", and breathe deeply through your nose and mouth through the face mask (med. size mask, or even large, are for adult males). Set a timer for 20-30 minutes in case you fall asleep with the mask on--otherwise seems relatively quite safe. Medical sources I've seen say 6-8 on the flow rate...you or your doc can check elsewhere online or with any of the headache experts like Dr. Lee Kudrow's (and son's) office in So. California--that's Friends actress Lisa Kudrow's father and brother--or Dr. Steven Graff-Radford, director of the pain center at Cedars-Sinai Med Center in Los Angeles.
The oxygen should be tried first by everybody before resorting to drugs, in my opinion, since it works well for so many people with relative safety and low cost. Good luck, I hope you keep plugging and get some relief.
