I was given that last year due to depression
related to something other than clusters. It
had a pleasant side affect of having only two
attacks while on it and they never got really bad
at all! Next year, my neuro said he might try
that instead of Verapamil. The only thing is
that you should get blood tests ... like each
week.... to check your depakote level. I only
had to take 1,000 mg which is considered low. And
it worked. One fowl side affect, three months later
I lost lots of hair - like 400 hairs a day (50 to
100 is normal) and it was a bad affect from
depakote. It seems to happen more to women than
men. Also, I was told if I take a Zinc tablet
and a B vitamin each day while taking Dapokote ..
it shouldn't happen again. So, I might give my
body a rest next year ... and take the Depokote.
Oh, I believe it takes a few weeks for your level
of Depokote to build up and become affective.

I know nothing of Amerge... although I've done
Imitrex Pills, Shots, and Nasal Spray and now
DHE sprays, and my beloved Oxygen tank, Verapamil,
Depokote, Prozac, Colonpin (antidepressants).
Think that's it. Oh yeah, an occasional trip
to the ER for a shot of something else.
Yeah, I might try the depokote next year. Let
us know how it works and I'd like to know if you
experience hair loss two to three months after
you start taking it. It doesn't ALWAYS happen.
It could have been my bad nerves too. SONYA
