It does take alot more faith to not believe in God. I see God in everything. I see God in grass, leaves that blow, children, birds, insects. Absolutely everything because God is in all things. My husband has to work really hard at our debates to prove to me that there is no God, (he can't prove it, not even to himself yet) He still is trying to understand why I save insects that get lost in my house. Why I worry about my plants, and why I take on other people's problems as if they were my own. The thing about being in excruciating pain is that you in a twisted way see things very clearly. You see that pain is temporary like someone mentioned earlier, that all beings experience it, and that all the things in this life are also temporary. Where does that leave us? For me it leaves me wanting to extinguish the pain of others. I can't stand seeing anyone hurting physically or menatally. Probably because I know pain. I wish I could swallow it whole since I know it, and everyone else could be left free of it. Ahh yes, I went off on a brainwave there and left the subject. I agree with you though. ( but you have to admit Barney would be a scarey thing to see on an acid trip, wouldn't it?)
