Yeah Barney is better than the Simpsons, that goes without saying. Simpsons are better than South Park also. The Flinstones is a lot less violent than the road runner and the coyote. Watch Barney sometime, and watch your child glued to the tv. It's very strange. When my child was little Sesame Street could be on and he could get up and walk away from it, or play while it was on, but when Barney was on he was mesmerized. The end of Barney watching came after I saw that. The other disturbing thing about Barney is that it doesn't teach children about real life situations and problems like sesame street or Arthur. But if you need a babysitter for a half an hour Barney is the ticket.
