Thanks for the information, but diflucan is not a Schedule II drug, nearly all drugs prescribed for clusters are however. It's also obvious that you are not a sufferer. My neurologist said that he would rather prescribe diflucan than lithium, verapamil, or depakote to me. I do realize each case is different, but a 2 or 3 week trial of diflucan can easily determine if a yeast disorder is the cause of the cluster headaches, and then it's relatively easy to do the diet and supplements to get off all drugs. I now take 100 mg of diflucan daily and am pain free in all ways. This has replaced 1200 mg lithium, 40 mg buspar, 489 mg sr verapamil, and 10 or 12 esgic-plus and 4-6 tylenol 4 daily. I think I have made my point abou the use of diflucan. I will have a blood test for liver function every 3 months instead of a lithium level every 3 to 60 days as my headaches dictated. I have also lost my migraines, both with and without aura, and my constant daily headaches, as well as the barometer's falling headaches. Diflucan is a life preserver and I will be able to quit taking it eventually, but not the other crap, lithium, etc.
