My doctor say's that this is the flee or fight
mechanisim being triggered by the c/h pain or anticipation of the pain. A very prehistoric automatic response to danger we can not really control, this supports the nurses test to validate someone is in pain. If it were a real health threat I.E. stroke, I would have been out of here a long time ago, not to brag but one night I clocked in at 220/180 210 bpm. for about two hours at the E.R. They finally stoped and restarted my heart to get me back to normal.
