You're only an ass if you put up with such absurd treatment. Check out (and print out) the medical links on the side board and if you really want to try O2, send me an email. I'm only about 2 hours away and would make sure there were 2 full E tanks on hand. Oxygen is and has been my Godsend since the mid 80's and I'd love to go face to face with any doc that scoffs about it's effectiveness. Oh yeah,, My current doc is family practice, relatively clueless about CH, but does renew my script for O2 (with the "look"). Good luck.
