I'm one of those whose headaches have lasted many years--31. In early days, the cycles came six months apart. Now they're two years apart. I've always been episodic. I have always been fearful of what life might be like if the headaches didn't stop. You're having a far worse time of it than I've had--chronic cluster headaches are a different order of beast than episodic ones.
Far from being self-pitying, I found your note an indication of the strength of your character--the character of a person fighting a terrible and lonely battle half a world away, who struggles with a demon every day in an endless dark war against pain and despair that I cannot imagine.
