I reluctantly post that my CH for this cycle is finished (the last time I did so, they came thundering back in 4days)...but I have not taken an Imitrex injection for 2 weeks, and had my first two glasses of wine in 3 months, and NOTHING....Yahoo!!!
I would like to tell you though, of one of the few fiascos the occurred this cycle. As you may or may not know, I live in Saipan, a U.S Trust Territory in the Pacific. We use .33 cents stamps to send mail to the US mainland, US $'ss, $10 co-pays, US T.V etc, and my zip code is MP 96950. Well, we have a secondary insurance, with my husbands company, and if we want a prescription filled, that is over 15 days we send it to them (Merck Medco), and they mail it to us, or should. So the long process begins...they call my Dr, my Dr calls them, they call me to check that I am who I am etc etc.OK, theyre going to mail it. One week later nothing arrives. I call, they so ..Sorry, can't mail it to you, your'e not in the U.S. Long, heated discussions. Best they can do is mail it to someone (anyone, they don't care) in the "U.S.A", and they can forward it to me. It took me 2 1/2 weeks to get 10 boxes on Imitrex shots. By this time I need a refill....I call it in, and was tempted to give them Carl's D's address. Someone in Merck Medco, in their wisdom, decides to use my husbands company address CT, and use the Saipan Zip code. Two weeks later, 20 boxes of Imitrex ($2,000) have officially been declared "lost", and they will resend, to my mother-in-law, who has to take them to the Post office,and resend!!!! To add insult to injury, they informed us, they would have to use my last refill, to resend, even though it was their mistake. My huband completely lost his cool (unheard of), and they are now going to resend. Of course the cycle has ended, and I have had to buy my Imitrex, and get reimbursed (another hassle). Sorry this is long, but it was a long story. I wish you all, long remissions, pain free days & nights, and a cure. You have ALL, for different reasons, been my light in the dark, and my thread of hope....see you in Vegas...love Judi
