Hello to all my pain's friends!
First of all, we meeting here to tray to help each other, and not for critize or censure each other. I agree with Bob G. that said "not to be ashamed for nothing", I not ashamed, not of my smoking (through the Internet you cant smell the smoke! HAHAHAHA!) and not on my poor English (one of my 4 languages) in special I'm not ashamed from our CH.
We meeting here for: maybe, maybe found some remedy to "take away this demon" that produce so much suffering to us.
People around can enjoy and forget for a moment the "darkenss" of the pain, but this happend only when they want to "look for" and find and see the positive and the beauty, instead "looking" for the unpleasant and depressing. Many Drs. that treated with patients, smoking cigarretes in they own privated places and lives, this dont says that they cannot be good Doctors, or cannot give a good advise to the patient, for example about the "risk of smoking". If I put here a link to my WebPage, is ONLY for give to my pain's friends some "colored gift" for a moment of joy and not exactly to stop the eyes on the hand with the cigarette and lose that "gift".

Now, to the point that interesting us, to IRENE, (hi) , The CAPSAICIN or much better to say "that formula" of CAPSAICIN is not easy to find, here in Israel we have only one Pharmacy that supply Capsaicin. The reason is, that the high price of the raw powder and the preparation of the formula is not convenient for a dozen or maybe 20 patients in Israel.
The history of that formula, starting in Torino (Italy) were some enterprise prepare a "creme" for the treatment of Reumatologycal cases, the"creme" pattent buy an American enterprise.
A few years ago, an especialist in Pain Treatment in Israel, Profesor Niv, director of "The Pain Unite" of Ychilov Hospital in Tel Aviv, work in cooperation with another especialist, the Neurologist Dr. Koritzky, and Dizengoff Pharmacy on a few patients with this especial formula that (I think) they prepared (all this information I only eared, more precise information, maybe, the especialists by they selves can give, if they want). I was one of the first that recieve this treatment and it's work from 1996 very well!!
I'm a chronic CH patient, for about 26 years, I over almost all the treatments that have the "market" to offer ..HAHAHAHA!!! for example Ergotamine, one day this drug was close to send me to the "other" world, and I remain 4 days in the Heart Emergency Unite with an ERGO heart Spasm !!! I recieved (in attacks) injections of TALWIN that close to addicted me to drugs, Lidocaine , Nobocaine nasal way, Imitrex, Lithium, naturalistic diet, aucupuncture, pushpuncture, meditation, auto-bio-feadback , (hahahaha!!) etc.etc.etc. Nothingggggg!!..grrrr!! (ohhh, pardon I forgot: Hipnocy ), I was "lost" in a Sea of medicaments!!
To "THE" moment that somebody bring me to the (last Station)...The Pain Unite of Professor Niv, in 3 weeks of CAPSAICIN (nasal way) treatment and of course with another medicaments for the stress, etc.
For the first time in 24 years of incredible suffer, I have not CH pains in 9 months successive!! to compare the previouses years I recieved attacks for about 6-8 months a year and some times 1-3 attacks per day!! night and day, as you know very well this horrible illness.
The last two periods of pain been in Juny 1997 only for 2 weeks or less and the "actual one" that start before 3 weeks and I feel that this days are the last ones.(the extreme changes of weather of the last years caused on me bad results, AND LONGER THE PERIODS)
I used also the Capsaicin in the very early moments of the attack (in a mode of analgetic) and with the Oxigen and the Ice I can STOP the attack in 5-10 minutes, and in a almost natural way and much less drugs risks!
The quantity of raw powder (Capsaicin) is so minimal that the few grams that they still have in this Pharmacy will be enough for many years and for many patients, in this concern I'm lucky. About if in the U.S. or Europe some place prepare this formula I dont know, but one of this days I'll try to recieve more information.
Dont forget that because the "INDIVIDUAL CHARACTER" of the CH to each one, and you know well that not the same medicament that works well on you , MUST work in another person, sometimes works worse, we need ESPECIAL CARE and consult very well with an expert medician.
