My experience with employers has been they understand one or two absences, but after that they ask stupid questions like, "Have you seen a Doctor?". On my last job I requested FMLA and always notified my Dr. when I was absent from work to keep them from writing me up due to unexcused absence. It's really tough to make it through when you are in a cycle of CH. Incidently, for other reasons I resigned that job.
One other thought..if you are married, isn't this a decision for you and your husband? If you are not married, and still financially secure what is Mom's problem? Don't mean to be disrespectful, but as mother of school age children, it looks to me like you are of an age to make your own decisions about your life.
Good luck. MG
