Thank you for the link. I read the pharmocology of Atenolol in 96 after my angioplasty. I take 10 mg. nightly, and, as far as I know, have suffered no side-effects--they check my liver every six months. Whether the drug is beneficial for CH sufferers obviously is still speculative. In my experience, I have had fewer bouts and intensity levels have been lower since 96, but I still get them. I THINK the things are receding this time after about 6 weeks of onset. It's certainly possible that Atenolol could be having a positive effect, but as your link pointed out, there are other medical considerations.
