If you're truly in severe pain, you hurt too much to ask for Stadol, therefore the asking proves that you don't need it!
In the same category as paying for health insurance every month only to be denied coverage, for the insurance company's collect premiums in order to have the money to pay claims. If they pay the money out for your claim, they won't have it in case you have a claim, and we wouldn't want that would we?
