Andy, Salad is not only veggies, but also dressing, and that's where the dog is buried (as we say).
I also once had a CH triggered after eating salad. So I checked the label of the ready made french dressing I had used, and sure enough, it contained MSG (Mono Sodium Glutamat). No problem, I thought, make it the old way using oil and vinegar. Just to be sure I checked the label of the vinegar bottle and what did I find? MSG! Next time I went shopping I checked all 6 brands of vinegar there were, and only one of them was without MSG!!!
So in case you are triggered by MSG, watch out for everything, even the salad dressing.
