I get both, and I would say pain wise, migraines are not worst than clusters. I think that imitrex is more effective for clusters than migraines which is why you would take more of imitrex when you have a migraine. Migraines make me really sick, where I spend too much time on my knees worshipping a cold porcelain bowl. They also last longer sometimes up to 5 days. I know that when I have a migraine I know I can survive. When a cluster hits I am crying, banging my head against my favorite sharp corner in my kitchen and thinking I will either die from this pain, or pass out, or just wishing that I would, but never do.
